University of St. Andrews
The University of St Andrews is Scotland's premier and oldest university. Founded in 1413, the University has long tradition of supporting innovative projects.
The University of St Andrews has fully endorsed Bus 52, with the Principal and Vice-Chair of the University, Louise Richardson saying this about the project:
"I am delighted to offer my support to Bus 52. This is an exciting, innovative project, and one which promises to deliver a powerful new insight into the ways in which different people in divergent communities seek to overcome difficulties in their neighbourhoods, towns and cities. We often talk of the importance of thinking globally, but acting locally. Bus 52 exemplifies this ideological approach, and is a project from which much will be learned by those who may have not previously been exposed to the real hardships faced by many Americans since the onset of the financial crisis. I wish all involved with Bus 52 every success and look forward to following their journey."
The University is currently celebrating its 600th Anniversary. Please visit their website here - http://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/600/ for more information.
