Where is our audience? aka. MORE VIEWZ PLZ

Views. Views, views.

At the heart of everything we do are views.

I have the very fun job of running social media on Bus 52 - which I love doing, don't get me wrong. But it can be pretty frustrating - there is only so much you can do with limited access to the Internet, constant travel, and a penchant for destroying all technologies.

But it's numbers - we're telling our stories for a reason, and unless they are reaching someone, what we're doing won't have the impact we want. Rob's written about it in many of his blog posts, but guys, it's exhausting.

We reached the halfway point. After taking a couple weeks to gather myself, I have a renewed energy and am ready to get crazy and shout from the mountains if I have to about Bus 52.

At VidCon we had the great pleasure of meeting some cool Youtubers, but more importantly we met the people who aren't watching our videos. (That's right! We know who you are!) People who were watching everyone else's videos about nyan cat, annoying oranges, and tiny dogs - pretty much anything but us.

Guess what?

But why hadn't they heard of us?

I need to do a better job at my job.

So for the next 6 months I'm committing to trying out a new way of getting in touch with the people who want to watch our videos but just don't know it yet. Whether that's a new platform, wearing a box with our logo, or shouting from the mountaintops - I'm going to try it.

And then I'm going to blog about it - so goodbye Thrifty Fifty, I've got more important things to do.

Anyone got any ideas catchy names for this project?
