Piroshky Piroshky

Piroshky Piroshky!  A bakery located on Pike Place in Seattle and the home to some of the best hand-held meals you could ever experience!

The word Piroshky originates from the Russian word "pir" which means feast. The bakery meets both your sweet and savory appetite by offering stuffed pies. Some the classics include a beef and cheese or onion piroshky. You could also step out of the box and try some smoked salmon paté piroshkies if you are feeling like bringing the best of Seattle and mixing it with the best of Russia.

The flakiness of a piroshky is what really makes it a winner for me. The pastry is crisp on the outside while being warm and soft throughout and it provides a great casing for the filling of your choice. A piroshky is always best eaten by hand and with the Pike Place Market at your footstep it would be foolish not to get one for while you walk around.
