Looking Forward To: Big Skies in Arizona and Utah

My family is Southern African, and we went back to South Africa every summer until 2009. We have these great friends who own a game lodge outside of Johannesburg (check them out here). Butjani, their lodge, is one of my favorite places in the world. One of the big draws is the amazing night sky that you get to see. Sitting by the fire, looking up at the stars - you can't really beat that. It's a feeling of comfort, of warmth, and of insignificance. Something that many of us who live in areas with many people, tend to forget.

Trying to raise money and awareness of Bus 52 is hard, and it takes a lot of work. I find it all the more awesome, therefore, to see things that bring me back to that feeling of excitement to know what we will be able to witness on our trip. As soon as I watched this video, I was brought back to Butjani, back to that wonderful feeling. Utah and Arizona are known for their amazing views. If it is anything like the ones below, it will definitely be hard to convince me to sleep inside the bus during our time there. What is your favorite place in the world?
