Location Scout

Location Scout

I recently took a turn as our "Location Scout" for the latest Album:America videos. Both Muzak, released last Friday, and this week's piece 'Cat Jam' lent themselves to some rather specific images, and so I was tasked with finding us an elevator and some cats. While I was successful in both ventures, I don't think I'll be giving up my job of composer anytime soon - finding location shots requires way too much time on the phone for my taste.

It was interesting that employees at large corporations seemed like they wanted to help, but felt bound by their corporation's reputation and policies not to allow any filming. In contrast, the Idaho Falls Arts Council and the Bonneville Humane Society were both extremely accommodating in allowing us to come in and film on location at their businesses. All of us at Bus 52 are quite grateful to both the Arts Council and Humane Society for all of their help; be sure to check them out in the links on the respective videos.
