Devouring Little Rock

Devouring Little Rock

One of the things I love about traveling is the ability to explore and feel out a city I have never been to before, and figure out how easily I could leave there. When we got into Little Rock, the food did most of the figuring out for me.

Vino's is the place to go if you are looking to grab a slice with a few friends and drink some really awesome beer. They brew their own and serve some of the tastiest takes on pizza classics.

The interior of Vino's is awesome! It has an old style brew-pub feeling with tons of knickknacks lying around and hanging on the walls. They even use a weight and rope system to keep the door closed. Efficiency at its finest, if you ask me.

I made sure to order one of the IPA's from the beer board before we ordered pizza and grabbed a seat by the window.

We got the cheesy bread as a starter and although the bread isn't extremely special, the sauce is boss! Probably some of the best sauce I have had. Though of course, grandma's will always win.

We got two different pizzas. The first was a take on a margherita pizza and the second was an olive and meat extravaganza.

I like my pizza to be a little greasy so this was a great slice to grab in my book. However, if you are not a fan of super greasy pizza or the taste of olives, I would order something with less meat and more veggies!

Doe's Eat Place
1023 West Markham Street
Little Rock, AR 72201

When we ate at Doe's, it was a very special occasion. Robert turned 24 and upon his request, we ventured to a place where meat is king!

Doe's operates using the family-style system of ordering. I love when restaurants do this because it brings everyone at the table that much closer together during the eating experience.

This place is known for steaks, and after discussing our options with the waitress, we got two cuts at 3lbs each. The meat is served with tons of fries, bread, potatoes, and salad for the entire table.

For the five of us, this was a feast and I will have no problem coming back next year if Rob is looking for a repeat when he is 25!
