Absolutely in love with Nevada

Absolutely in love with Nevada

I had a completely different vision of Nevada. I've been to Vegas a couple times, and I would say that for my family, there is something about the state that feels like home. My grandparents were snowbirds in Vegas quite often and loved visiting. When they were looking to retire they were torn between Reno, NV and Alaska - they ended up in Alaska but they kept coming back because the city was so charming.

My sixteenth birthday was spent in Vegas and I love it. I like a party as much as the next girl, but what I love about Vegas is the people. From all over the world, there for all kinds of reasons, stuffed into a strip of land that is so outlandish it almost shouldn't exist. You feel decadent just looking at it - who thought of all this? And how'd they know it would work?

Our time was nice, we stayed at the wonderful KOA at the Circus Circus - which is where I was both of my previous visits, and just walked around the city. It was fun, it was crazy, and you end up walking a lot farther than you think. I was so impressed by all the hooplah, I barely picked up my camera - but check out the photos!

We did visit Lake Tahoe and the Hoover Damn, both very impressive places. Lake Tahoe is the kind of place that takes your breath away, and photos just don't do it justice.
